Bruno
Hi,

I'm trying to install the edbsrvr as a service but when I use the commande line "edbsrvr.exe /install" Windows finished the program abnormally.

Why ?

For information, I'm under Windows Vista

Thanks for your help

I'm seeing this also.  I'll have to check it out and get back to you as to
the cause.

Okay, the issue is that you're trying to install the service under Vista
when *not* running as an administrator for the local machine.  Vista will
not allow you to install services, by default, when you aren't running as an
administrator.  Furthermore, Vista covers up the normal "access denied"
error message with that error message about the "program not working
properly", thus preventing the correct error message from surfacing.

I will be adding an admin check to the EDB Server so that it displays a more
informative error message under Vista when trying to install/uninstall a
service without the proper rights.
