I think that with the wider availability of ElevateDB over platforms we need a standard information header for new posts. I suggest, and will try to stick with:

OS:
Dev environment
Version

for me that would be

OS:        Vista
Dev:        D2006
Version:  2.03b17 VCL standard non-unicode

opinions?

Roy,

<< opinions? >>

Always a good idea - many times we have to re-ask the same basic questions
about versions, OS, etc., which just wastes time.

Anything else you'd like to see added?

Also what about adding it into the users profile - it would probably be out of date most of the time but could give you a bit of a head start when needed?

Roy,

Not off the top of my head.   The main point is to get the OS and EDB
versions and the dev. environment/version.

Not a bad idea, it will help save people from re-typing everything each
time.   I've got to mess with the post/link wrapping today anyways (I didn't
forget about you Franco Smiley.
