Don't know if it is just my Xananews but aside from the 15/06/2018 post in announce, all the others stop around August 2015. ??? Ian |

You mean this post from Remy.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- guess I spoke too soon: forums.embarcadero.com/ann.jspa?annID=157 Announcement: Forums are now Read-Only and a new community is coming! Posted By: Jim McKeeth Created in: Forum: Announce Posted: Jun 14, 2018 1:26 PM Our Embarcadero Community Squirrel has been busy. As you are all aware, the Forums were experiencing several issues and were been taken down. All is not lost though. Your hardworking Embarcadero Community Squirrel is also working on a brand new Community & Forum site that will combine the best of both forums.embarcdero.com and community.embarcadero.com. We're very excited and can't wait to share what we are coming up with. In the meantime, the Community site is still open for now, and you can post there. Plus we brought the forums.embarcadero.com back online in read-only mode until the whole new site is online. Yours truly, Jim McKeeth The Embarcadero Community Squirrel Wrangler ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wonder if a plain simple web developer, or programmer might be better suited than a "Embarcadero Community Squirrel"? Do you think some of what they're smoking would make my hip stop hurting? Roy Lambert |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I just went on to post a moan - its truly a horrible experience.
I have to accept cookies, but I can't do that from the page I'm on I have to go to another page and then click the back button. There are captcha's everywhere - on logon, on posting Remy's post had moved and I couldn't find it. A BIG BIG thank you to Tim for keeping NNTP and fixing the problem he had when it occurred and recovering all the posts. Roy Lambert |

I simply went to look at the website and web interface is pretty bad - wasted space on screen (i see 6 topics without scrolling), few generic categories like "programming" and "ui" now and even trying to pick category view does not seem to work reliably (and there does not appear to be a nice category listing except in drop down). Not going to use this unless absolutely desperate > A BIG BIG thank you to Tim for keeping NNTP and fixing the problem he had when it occurred and recovering all the posts. +1 Still most efficient way to catch up on newsgroup postings Raul |

> its truly a horrible experience. Well done. You got a lot further than I did. I'm with everyone else here. NNTP is the only sane way to follow newsgroups. It's a shame that there are so many people with little constructive to offer society and who then actually try to be antisocial and make things harder for the good guys 'n gals. Sorry about the rant. |

Adam Brett Orixa Systems | The Delphi newsgroup situation makes me cry. Honestly such a sign of what is wrong with the company. Information from a good news group is SO valuable for a business. Can feed into their own strategic planning.
Also (as noted by others) gives you a port of call when starting a big new project and needing help, otherwise you might well use another solution! I will talk to Marco Cantu about this when I see him in London in September!!!! |
