Grin...   My wife's favorite hat for me is the Elevate and she's not even a "geek".  lol.   Of course I had to pose the wares with my red swingline stapler too... Wink    Now I'll have to come up with a nice scenic shot of me with the wares with a Pacific Northwest flair.    I know....  Me in front of Microsoft HQ in Redmond with the right camera angle showing the more premier database company....   Wink

Yeah - go Milton. Smiley It's too bad that Extract was no Office Space.  But,
then again, I don't think anything can be Office Space again.   Way back
then I worked at a couple of companies that were just like that.
Soul-suckers. Smiley

I'm thinking of starting up a "Casual Fridays" blog post every week.   I'm
completely running out of cool movies to watch and cool music to listen to,
so I'm going to solicit suggestions from everyone that we can all share.

Okay, we'll start a collection for your bail. Wink

Completely agree.  I had higher hopes for Extract.

I'll have to come up with some ideas.   My first suggestion is actually a local production that has some inspiration of Office Space with a little bit of "flair"...   Get it on Netflix.    It's called "Outsourced".    Was very good.  The boss in the movie is a local actor / theater instructor who did some sketches in a local Seattle TV show that for years was on before SNL called Almost Live.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMCv3cLUTzU  (He's Chuck).

For music....  I'm really eclectic.  How about Imogen Heap's "Eclipse" or going back a few years....  Béla Fleck and the Flecktones "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo".   Al Stewart / Peter White's "Live in Two Rooms".

Pretty good, pretty good. Smiley Was the show always structured in that
fashion, or did it take place in an office also ?

Same here, all kinds of stuff.

Almost Live was a 1/2 hour show in Seattle's NBC affiliate that actually ran a slightly de-Seattle'ized version on Comedy Centry for a while.

They would do some sketches live on stage and then had produced segments.

Search YouTube for Almost Live.   You'll love the "Mind your Manners with Billy Quan" series.   "High 5'ing White Guys" is funny.  "Cops in ..." is a great show, spoofing the Cops tv series covering different Seattle Neighborhoods.  Cops in Kent / Renton are funny.

Bill Nye the Science Guy cut his teeth on the show as a sketch actor (Speedwalker sketches funny ala http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6-SJLlneLc ) and did some Mr Wizard experiment stuff periodically.  When the show wrapped up he went on to do PBS and other stuff (John Keister, who was the main host worked also with Bill Nye on his show).

Pat Cashman is another favorite Seattle'ite that does radio and does several local and national commercials.  One my favorite sketches with him....  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0q1i2mqMgs

You'll appreciate the corporate target sketches of Innefectual Middle Management Suckups.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd66JRcGm6I

Need a haircut??  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4SFxmZZcqY

They still have been running reruns of Almost Live, except now after SNL is over.

My classmate was a producer for the show as well as was in a few sketches.

I like Bill Nye a lot.  He's a stand-up guy and has gone to great lengths to
promote the advancement of science.  I especially like the show that he had
on Planet Green recently called Stuff Happens.  He has a knack for making
science fun.
