D2006 upgrade to XE |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | Grey Matter have extended the upgrade offer until the end of March. So all you lot who have actually bought XE tell me are there enough goodies to speed up productivity to make it worth spending £356? I am seriously not interested in unicode, in fact its a negative for me. My current rationale is that I've missed out two versions so far (D2009 & D2010). If I miss another couple te savings have more than paid for having to pay full price if I ever want a future version. There are only a few 3rd party components where I'm bothered about keeping up with the latest version (ElevateDB, WPTools) the others are working well or have been modified by me anyway. I keep finding stuff all of the time, like being able to queue synchronization calls for threads, processor counts for threads, spin locks and other synchronization improvements, etc. There are also lots of improvements for Windows Vista/7 functionality. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
