Amazon EC2 |

Uli Becker | Many thanks to Adam Brett for his great tutorial "Amazon Server Creation".
I created my first "instance" today and thanks to the tutorial I had no problems getting it to run. I installed the EDBSever, but in my case the remote connection is quite slow. Adam described it as "ultrafast". Has anyone else used this scenario? Regards Uli |

Raul Team Elevate | Uli,
I have used the EC instances with DBISAM (not EDB) but performance has always been good - no complaints so never really measured it. Are you saying the same app is a lot slower over EC2 vs regular internet hosted server ? Do make sure its hosted in a region close to you and/or your customer(s). Raul |

Yes, exactly. Also uploading files by a RDS-connection takes very long while my connection generelly is very good. Do make sure its hosted in a region close to you and/or your customer(s). I chose the closest one in Ireland (I am accessing it from Germany). Thanks Uli |
