Raul Team Elevate | Fernando,
I'm not Tim but as per this posting it looks like the switch statement is off the table but Tim is looking at engine dll option (see last post by him) : http://www.elevatesoft.com/forums?action=view&category=ewb&id=ewb_general&page=1&msg=1990#1990 Raul On 1/16/2013 12:58 PM, Fernando Dias wrote: > Have you given up on your plans to unify the UNICODE and ANSI versions > of EDB ? > |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Fernando,
<< Have you given up on your plans to unify the UNICODE and ANSI versions of EDB ? >> The performance would have suffered if the native string representation in the compiler didn't match that being used by the EDB engine. For example, right now the ANSI version of EDB performs as equally well under Delphi 2009 and higher as the Unicode version. With the changes that I was working on, this would not be the case. Unfortunately, I ran into this after spending a couple of weeks on the changes. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
