>>As I posted to David it seems that it generally affects the dfm rather than the pas file and I suspect something to do with property defaults.<
>It may have to do with the creation order of the components on the form. Another db product I used (not Tim's) had a strict order in which to drop the components. So if you later cut and pasted these components and you relied on the settings in the object inspector, it may fail to start. That's why I always initialize the database components in the correct order when the data module is created. BTW, the utility I mentioned also compares DFM text files.

Mine too cos I save as text <vbg>

>>>Or you can call in Paranormal Investigators to see if your computer is possessed by an evil spirit. After watching some of their shows with them racing around in the dark with night vision cameras listening for undecipherable whispers and coming up with nothing, I think investigating your PC would be a big improvement. Smile<

>>I like that idea - do I get paid if they show the investigation?<
>Sure, I'll split it with you like I did with my last paranormal investigation. But they'll need a demo tape first. I'll be over after midnight with my night vision gear and camera equipment. The scratching and moaning you hear below the floor boards will just be me going through the duct work, so don't worry about it. P.S, you don't have a loaded shotgun like the guy in my last adventure, do you??? I forgot to tell him I was coming over.

We don't have any duct work so you're in the wrong house

ps don't read the above until after midnight.
