<< Using the Elevatedb menager 2.03 I try to migrate data from bde It's raise the error: ElevateDB Error #700 An error was found in the statement at line 6 and column 11 (Expected data type but instead found ,) >> More than likely it's a weird data type that the migrator isn't expecting to see. Please email me the source table and I'll find out what the issue is. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Thanks for the table. The problem is with the ParadoxOLE field type. You can either change the source table so that it contains a normal binary BLOB field type, or wait until the next 2.03 build 4 for the fix to the BDE migrator. It probably won't be much longer than one week. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< I try the build 4 version but I get the same error message >> Did you copy the new build 4 BDE migrator .dll over to the configuration path ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< Yes >> Please send me the BDE migrator that you're using via email. We've got this in our test framework, and the test passes just fine. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

The BDE migrator that you posted in the Binaries newsgroup works fine on the table that you sent me. Are you getting an error on a different table ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

An empty table or migrating the table without data work fine. The table with data raise an error. << An empty table or migrating the table without data work fine. The table with data raise an error. >> I think you're mistaken. The error that you indicated referred to an expected data type, which means that it was trying to create the table (data types aren't specified for INSERT statements used to move the data over). Are you sure that you're seeing the same error message that you indicated in your original post on this subject ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
