Sorry to ask another question, but OS disk recovery tools, or just recovery
tools that can read EDB tables ?

Well, i don't think that there are tools for recovering DEB Tables,
i was referring OS disk recovery tools.

Your best bet in such a case is to run an OPTIMIZE TABLE on the table, and
then use this utility:

Don't think so. Unless OPTIMIZE scrubs the data it'll still be lying around on disk. I'd use the scrubber first then zap the files. Again it depends on you definition of secure delete.

OPTIMIZE TABLE will result in 0 free space in the table files.  The space
that is removed will then be relinquished back to the OS, where it can be
scrubbed by the sdelete utility.

I thought SDelete was a standard file scrubber. Didn't realise it did free space as well. I stagger on (not sure its life at my age Smiley and learn.
