<< Well, i don't think that there are tools for recovering DEB Tables, i was referring OS disk recovery tools. >> Your best bet in such a case is to run an OPTIMIZE TABLE on the table, and then use this utility: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897443.aspx -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Don't think so. Unless OPTIMIZE scrubs the data it'll still be lying around on disk. I'd use the scrubber first then zap the files. Again it depends on you definition of secure delete. Roy Lambert |

<< Don't think so. Unless OPTIMIZE scrubs the data it'll still be lying around on disk. I'd use the scrubber first then zap the files. Again it depends on you definition of secure delete. >> OPTIMIZE TABLE will result in 0 free space in the table files. The space that is removed will then be relinquished back to the OS, where it can be scrubbed by the sdelete utility. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I thought SDelete was a standard file scrubber. Didn't realise it did free space as well. I stagger on (not sure its life at my age and learn. Roy Lambert |
