Hi,
Im tring to port an application from BDS2006 and EDB1.07 to RAD2009 and EDB
2 (trial).
I have a db (1.07) with about 1,5GB of data that i can not lose.

Starting application i receive the error
'ElevateDB Error #100 There is an error in the metadata for the catalog
SoundEditor (The character set does not match the character set in use by
the engine)'.

How port database from 1.07 to 2.03 (also manually with manager)?

Thanks for your help

Are you using the same type of EDB in both cases - ANSI=ANSI or
Unicode=Unicode ?  Or, are you trying to switch from ANSI to Unicode during
the migration ?

You don't have to port anything - everything will work fine with the 1.x
database catalog and table files.

Ok, i understand
i use non unicode db with unicode component.
This means that i cannot use unicode and non unicode db at the same time (the component is different)?
Is this correct?

thanks!
Mirco

Yes, you are correct.  ElevateDB operates as only 100% ANSI, or 100%
Unicode.
