Friedrich Westermann | Hello Tim,
are there any plans for compile The lazarus package for Win 64? because the roadmap from Emabarcadero is for me to late, we have a mixed development VC++ and Delphi. We have to start now the port of our products (CAD) to win 64. We will release it to our customers in the second half of 2011. If there is now port i must change the DB....... But these is what i not want I dont need a GUI only the access to the DB Thanks Fritz |

You'll be happy to know that EDB now works with Lazarus x64. It actually compiled with only a couple of changes. I should have done this earlier, but I forgot that that the only thing that changes with x64 is the pointer size. The default integer size stays the same, so there are very little code changes needed if the code doesn't do a lot of casting back and forth between pointers and integers. The next build will include a specific download for this. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
