The forums have had to co-exist as newsgroups also, and I'm slowing building
in more forum-like features where I can.  There are certain limitations that
are imposed by NNTP/web-based forums vs. strictly web-based forums,
primarily due to the text-based nature of NNTP vs. the HTML-based nature of
web-based forums.

Ahhhh interesting.... did not realise this was the case. Got my creative thinking hat on now though Thanks for the heads up, makes a lot more sense.
