Thread Large File Support

Tim,

I'd like to clarify the usage of "LargeFileSupport".  From the code, it seems that the max file size is 4GB if this is not turned on and 128GB if this is turned on.  Moreover, in EDBServer, it
says that we can only turn this on in Win2000 or above.  AFAIK, the Win32 API supports 64-bit file size from day one.  It was the FAT16 filesystem that limits the file size.  FAT32 already
broke the file size limit of 4GB.  So it should be ok to turn on this as long as FAT32/NTFS is in place.   Is my understanding correct or did I miss anything?

PK,
FAT32 still has 4gb limit. See "Max File Size" in
http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm. you need NTFS for larger files.

Dave is correct - you cannot use large file support with Windows 9x/ME.  The
Win32 file system calls will actually fail.
