I'm trying to set up a mail merge solution between EDB 2.04 and Microsoft Word (2002 through 2010) using the ODBC driver.  Everything works great except for CLOB fields, which get truncated around 200 characters.

The following Microsoft article states that this is a limitation of ODBC, but further down it mentions that the limitation has been greatly expanded through service packs.  Also, if I do the merge from an Access database (through ODBC) it seems to work fine.

Anyone else run into this, and if so, any ideas on what I might have overlooked?

If make an ODBC connect to the ElevateDB table inside of Access that also works (meaning it displays the entire comments field).... just not in Word.

But if I switch it to a VarChar(1000), it seems to work fine, at least up to 1000 characters that is.
