How to run a 2nd EDB Server as service |

Uli Becker | When I try to install a (renamed) second EDB Server as a service, I get
this error message: Service "ElevateDB Server" failed to install with error: "System Error. Code: 1078. Der Name wird bereits als Dienstname oder als Dienstanzeigename verwendet" Translated: "The name is already in use as a service name or display name". Any workaround? Thanks Uli |

This is just a guess, but taking a quick look at where the service is started in edbsrvr.dpr, it looks like it pulls the server name from the server's .ini file. If both of your server's are reading the same .ini file then it looks like the service names will then be the same. Hope this helps. Dale |

Dale Derix | My bad... I reread your first message and see that yes, you did rename it.
