Hi,

Have a small application written for WinCE using the ElevateDB database. The PDA on which it is installed has the Windows Mobile 6 Classic operating system.  When the application is first run it creates the database files if it doesn't already exist. The user can then attach the PDA to a computer and connect to a Firebird database to transfer data to the database on the PDA. After a recent transfer of data the user has been getting the following error message:

"ElevateDB Error #600 File manager error (Cannot delete the file \Application Data\Volatile\WindowsMobile

(OS Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

))"

Any ideas what could be causing such an error?  Have run the same application on another PDA with same operating system without any problems.

Thanks in advance

Is WindowsMobile a folder or a file name ?  There should be a file name
listed with such an error.

As for the general cause of the error - the OS is telling EDB that the file
cannot be accessed because another process has the file open exclusively.
Did you check and see if there is another process running that possibly has
the file open ?
