Actually, yes they do support interactive services but not interactive services with UI elements in them. That is the key. Sorin's problem seems more to be an issue with the actual installation of the service in Windows 7. Sorin: You need to install the service as an administrator in Windows 7. You will need to click on the Start Button, then go to All Programs then Accessories. Under Accessories, right-click the "Command Prompt" and then select "Run as Administrator". With the command prompt running as an administrator, you will easily be able to install the EDB Server as a service. I had this problem when I switched to Windows 7 professional on a high-end desktop box I am using as a server. I learned that this was the issue I was having. After running the command prompt as an administrator, all was smooth sailing. Yes...Check your firewall settings. I had the same situation happen to me once as well. Even though I never had an issue in the past, the firewall setting for ElevateDB did get changed to "Blocked" and I couldn't make a connection. As soon as I changed the setting, I had no issues. -- Jan Ferguson [Team Elevate] Sorin H wrote: > I try to install as administrator and the installation phase run ok > but when I run the application I get the error message #1100. > "A connection...canot be established.. refused by target computer" > > Something I still missing.
