Playing around with some queries in EDBManager it quotes

4418 row(s) returned in 0.124 secs

but I can count roughly 4 seconds.

Why the difference? What is it exactly that EDBManager is timing?

Roy,

Is this query generating a sensitive result set ?  There are certain
portions of a query that are not included in the execution time due to the
nature of how the filtering works, especially with sensitive result sets.
It's something that I need to work on, but is fairly involved (read: will
probably introduce some bugs if changed), which is why it keeps getting put
on the back-burner.

It was some of both. I think it was one of the sensitive ones where I spotted it. Its where I'm working on timings and variations where it matters.
