Jan Ferguson Data Software Solutions, Inc. Team Elevate | Tim,
No need to apologize! I'm just getting excited as hell because the light bulb finally came on over my head with regard to most things EDB! I am finishing porting over two major applications from DBISAM v4 and I can't believe how *GREAT* ElevateDB actually is and how easily it works. One of the greatest things I have just found is with the EDBManager. As a preface, I am running three different DBISAM servers in different divisions (on different boxes at different locations) at the department throughout the city. Using DBSys with DBISAM I had to change the options and then log into each one separately (and do it one at a time) in order with work with tables. I also had to do the same thing in order to view logs and or users in each server with the server administration application. However with EDB Manager I simply set up three different remote sessions and VOILA...I can view and/or work with all the servers and all the data at the same time from one utility! Genius! Keep up the great work...I can wait (although it will be hard) for these enticing new features having anything to do with ElevateDB. -- Regards, Jan Ferguson Tim Young [Elevate Software] wrote: > Jan, > > << Did you mean next Build or next Version ? Hmmm...my \utilcomps directory is empty. I even checked all the \utilcomps directories in my D2007, D2010 and Delphi XE folders and they were also all empty. No biggie for me but just wanted you to be aware of it (unless I did something wrong but all I did was install it.) -- Jan Ferguson |

I'm liking it a lot more now, also, especially since I've been able to fill out the functionality and bring forward a lot of the stuff that everyone liked about DBISAM, but was missing from the initial releases of EDB. << One of the greatest things I have just found is with the EDBManager. I can also have many different sessions defined for test cases where customers are using different encryption/file extension settings that require custom session definitions. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I'll make sure that this is fixed for the next build. Thanks, -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Steve Gill | Hi Tim,

Just wondering if these features made it into 2.05 Build 4? Regards, Steve |

<< Just wondering if these features made it into 2.05 Build 4? >> No, not yet. The past few weeks have been eaten up by DBISAM support issues, so I'm not getting much done. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
