My application work as c/s on a local network with this configuration.
The app is installed on a win xp as server and 2 station are connetcted one
xp and one win 7.

The win 7 computer is slower then the xp.
The win 7 computer is a newer and stronger then the xp and both use the same
Antivirus.

What can be the reason?

The computer performance won't matter as much with remote sessions connected
to an EDB Server, due to the fact that they're primarily a thin client.  I
suspect that the Windows 7 machine has something interfering with the
performance of the Winsock/TCP/IP layer, either firewall filtering or the AV
software.

Does the AV software on the Windows 7 machine also provide an "Internet
security suite" ?
