Hello

At another client I run the edbsrvr as application on a xp os.
Since I want it run when the user switch on the pc I add a edbsrvr shortcut
to the startup list.

When the pc turn on, the edsrvr is running but the status is stopped. I have
to press restore and start.
I check the firewall. It's the standard xp firewall and the edbsrvr is on
the exceptions lists.

What else can I check?
Thanks
Sorin

Sorin,

Check the logged events for the server configuration (SELECT * FROM
Configuration.LogEvents).  There should be an error in there describing what
the problem is with starting the server.

Thanks Tim

I try it and no error.
The server is started on stoped status and no event have been appended to
the LogEvents.
I open the server and press start and added the 2 events "Login to server"
and "Start server"
without any errors

Thanks

Sorin,

Hmm, if there's any error starting the server for any reason, it should be
logged there.

The only other thing that I can think of is that the networking layer hasn't
fully started yet, but that should also cause an error that is logged.

I'll do some playing around here and see if I can reproduce this.
