Thread ELEVATEDB SERVER RUNNING BUT NOT ACCEPTING CONNECTIONS
Thu, May 5 2011 11:01 AMPermanent Link

Oliver

METTRIX

I have been using the demo version of elevatedb on a network eversince I downloaded it sometime last year to
develop a client application.

For some reason, that applicatin, the one and only application we've been running on our network no longer runs. It doesn't create sessions on the server which of course renders the app inoperable.

The interesting thing is that the same application and server is running on a laptop distinct from the one on our
work network and it also behaves the same way. This makes me wonder if a demo version of the server is not only
session limited but also time limited.

Is there a time limit to how long a demo server is allowed to accept connection ?

Thanks

Oliver

The first thing that I would suggest would be to check any firewalls that
might be running as they may be blocking the connection.

No, no time limits.  Terry is correct, the first place to look would be
firewalls and Internet security suite software.
