Thread Multiple databases / sessions in Remote stores

I have a Cloud computer set up (with Amazon). I have EDB running on this computer and I am saving updates from 1 clients database to update stores on this cloud just fine.

I was hoping to keep things simple & save other clients databases to the same cloud client, by setting up a number of Sessions on the cloud client, each with their own stores.

However when I try to do this, and Create Store from Client "B"s server I can see the Stores for Client "A".

The different stores are not segregated by session.

I guess this is because I have 1 version of EDBSrvr running & it is looking at 1 config path ... fair enough!

Is it possible (desirable/workable?) to have EDBSrvr running more than once on 1 server, pointing to different config paths?

How would I do this? Would I need to have different EDBSrvr's on different ports & how is that set up?

I have really only used EDBSrvr in a very "vanilla" way up to now & don't really know how to mess with its settings.

If it is not easily possible don't worry, I can get the new client to pay for a second cloud server!

OK: Sorry for another premature set of questions on the NG!

I have got 2 versions of EDBSrvr working on my cloud computer, each on their own ports & these ports are open In-bound.

On the cloud computer I can connect to each instance of the EDBSrvr as a separate remote session, and see the DBs, stores etc. beneath each one.

On my local computer I can connect to my "basic" EDBSrvr (port 12010) no problem, but the second one (running on 12011) I can't see.

Is there a reason for this? What am I doing wrong?

Adam,

Did you give the second instance its own server name and rename the .exe
accordingly ?  If not, then they'll both use the same .ini file for their
initialization and settings, and the second instance will fail to start
correctly.
