TonyWood | Hi All
experimenting with concurrent loading of a large DB, i've been trying to start multiple edbsrvr instances. I can load 3 (and configure them to use ports 12011,12012 and 12013) as normal applications (i.e. not as windows services). No matter whether i try to start them from the command line or clicking on the start menu etc, i can't seem to fire up another. I guess it is starting then silently exiting, but why ? thanks in advance Tony Wood |

Raul Team Elevate | How are you configuring them exactly. You can definitely have more than 3 - i know we've gone up to 5 at a time for a test (we just renamed them edbsrvr1.exe to edbsrvr5.exe all listening on different ports)

TonyWood | Raul, that's a good tip, renaming them to edbsrvr1, edbsrvr2 etc seems to be the trick that's needed to get them to stay resident.
Also, each one to remembers its own configuration through a separate .ini file - nice one. thanks again |

You can access the Logged Events via the session node in the left-hand treeview. Once you click on a session node, you'll see the View Logged Events task link appear in the available task links. If there's an error during server startup, the error will appear in the Logged Events. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
