As i read Delphi XE2 64-bit uses SSE2 code which may improve the
perfomance of EDB Manager, especially on repair/optimize table
operations I guess ...

XE2 & 64 bit should do a lot of memory intensive stuff many times faster. I was at an Embarcadero demo yesterday & they were showing 30 - 50 times faster operations on intensive operations.

That would be brilliant for some big db operations & with XE2 it should just be a rebuild with minor tweeks.

My experince with our code is a difference within +/- 5% of win32
performance. With code that hasn't been tweaked for win64 in any way -
except modified where needed.

I would say Emb must have chosen some very specific actions / code.
