Thread EDBManager tabs gone when reopening
Thu, Mar 22 2012 12:43 PMPermanent Link

I like the EDBManager's feature that it opens up right where it left
off.

Except...all the tabs with my open tables are gone. I need to close one
and reopen it to make the tabs reappear.

I'm also often getting an AV on closing the Manager, but isn't a
showstopper.

Dom,

I'm not seeing this here with 2.08 B3.

Is this reproducible ?  If so, then please send me your database catalog via
email along with instructions on how to reproduce, and I'll check it out.

I just discovered that the tabs must be there, but are invisible!
Figured this by clicking on the screen positions

Maybe due to the tab component you are using?

I mailed you a link to a Cinemascope LucasFilm Motion Picture
illustrating the "problem."

I had it all the time, so I guess so. I'll mail the catalog as soon as
I stumble upon the next AV.

Do you have any external procedures? These are often a good hunting ground for AVs

No, just a couple of really simple tables that are open. But haven't
had the AV during recent use.

First I had them all the time, without exception...today, nada.

Using straight-up, normal TPageControl.  However, the problem could be a
double-buffering conflict with your graphics card.  Sometimes
double-buffering is fine, other times it causes drawing issues.

Dom,

Do you see the same problem with the sub-page-control on the Properties page
?  If so, then it is definitely the double-buffering.

Nope, that one keeps on showing fine. I have the impression the
disappearing occurs after more than a couple of tables are open (and
the Mgr is closed and opened again).
