Only problem I have is that I am getting errors 'Lost connection to stream' and 'Socket Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (10054), on API 'recv'. when the app is idle for a while.

I have searched the forum and only found references to Unicode using different controls to the server release etc.  None of these apply to me.

I am running 208b3 64 bit server over the net.

In the session KeepConnections:=true and KeepTablesOpen:=true

I have asked Tim but had no response guess he is busy.

I am not familiar with this problem. You might want to look at the timeout settings on the EDBSRVR.exe on the server side & increase them a bit & see whether that improves things.

Hi Adam

Tim pointed me in the right direction with this, set the session to ping the server.

I have had the app up for several hours on the mobile network with no problems at all. Also I note that by pinging the server there is less latency. On the mobile network if there is no activity it drops back from HDSPA to 3G causing a terrible lag (of a couple of settings) when activating a data operation as it needs to light up the HDSPA.  You can see the light change from blue (3G) to HDSPA (green) on the dongle. Noticeable also during a web browsing session when you have been idle for a few minutes.

That's a really good point that I had no idea about.  Thanks for mentioning
that. Smile
