Things often come to my mind when watching TV and I end up going up to the office and researching the idea on the net. I dont like laptops. Touch is definetely the future! Anyway last night I checked my eMails, bought a case for the Ipad, logged onto a client to check why the backup hadnt run - all during the adverts. Luxury...... Also when I go on holiday I end up taking a netbook so I can login to my clients with logmein or the office PC. I can use my IPhone but its a bit fiddly. IPad rocks, if you havent got one - get one!!!!! All my life when I've worked hard for a week (60+hours) or had a good deal I buy myself a present or go to an expensive restaurant - makes it worthwhile. Peter |

I see them being used all the time at work. So, I need to get into writing apps for them. I think it'll be a steep learning curve but fun. -- Michael Riley GySgt USMC Retired www.zilchworks.com |

Much nicer sitting in a cafe with an iPad on the table than a big laptop. I also store all my technical/reference books, manuals and other books on my iPad. I have around 60 books in iBooks and almost 30 in the Kindle app. On top of that I subscribe to some magazines which are delivered straight to the device. Beats carrying all of them around. Great for the waiting room at the doctors. I do my banking on it as well when I'm not at home or in the office. And I have drawing software which I use to draw diagrams, flowcharts, mindmaps and designs. Couldn't live without my iPad now. Steve |

>I thought of the Asus but it has had some bad reviews. I would like to have ahd some PC programs. Errrr - that implies that the iPad hasn't! >The Apple apps are so cheap though So are the ones on Android Market (or Play as its now called - gives a good clue as to how serious the apps are) but many of them are targeted at phones and the vast majority are naff - bit like Apple's market My favourite is the guy who wrote an app that put a big red circle on your iPhone, charged $5000 (or something outrageous) and some morons actually bought it.
