Anyone got any idea why this might be happening?

I have EDBMgr open. I am logged on as Administrator to 2 databases

db 1: I can do anything, CREATE / DROP FUNCTION or PROCEDURE.

db 2: Whenever I try to do any of the above, even for just a "test" function with no content.

It feels to me as though somehow db 2's config files have become read only (or something) ... any experiences of this from anyone?

Cancel this post ... the trusty old method of rebooting the server fixed it.

There was a ghost session which seemed to have locked the database, probably a function-create process which was interrupted by a network failure.
