How to change the DB signature |

Rolf Frei eicom GmbH | I have a DB created with a custom EDB signature. Now I want chnge that back to the default signature. How can I do this? Whenever I change the signature in EDManager, I cant' access my data anymore.
I have also tried to create a new session with the default signature and moving the data from one session to the other with some kind of Query, but with no success as I can't see how I can access the Session from an SQL statement. Diferent databases are no problem but how can I access tht databases from different sessions inside a SQL? |

The only thoughts that come to my mind are 1) reverse engineer or 2) export and import Roy Lambert Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

Fernando Dias Team Elevate | Rolf,
The signature is written down to database catalogs, config files and tables, and as far as i know it can't be changed, or it's perhaps more accurate to say, if there is a way I'm not aware of it The only way I know to do what you want is to reverse engineer your databases *including data*, using the current signature, then drop the database, then change the signature to the default signature and finally recreate your database using the default signature. Please don't forget to do a complete backup first . -- Fernando Dias [Team Elevate] |
