I certainly can't speak for Tim, but I would not be surprised if he later expanded support for it.  It's a matter of when and of course if he's looking at IOS, then it's further complicated by the new mobile development platform coming out.

Raul,

That the acutal EDB cant' be run at the moment on OSX is more than clear to
me. The question is, if it runs fine on Windows with FM. I think Tim needs
to change right much to bring it to OSX, as EDB uses the Windows Language
features/rules (Unicode/Ansi language drivers) and other windows features
which are not available on OSX in this way. I want only to know if there are
any plans to porting it to OSX, or if this will be a absolut no go for
Elevate.

Rolf,

Yes, we have plans to add OSX support, but I don't have any definitive dates
set.  As with everything, it will get done when it gets done.

Thank you.

I'm still not sure if I can go the Firemonkey way of life, as there are some
other 3rd party components are missing. To bad FM is so bad supported by 3rd
party companies this days. FrownSome of this components can be replaced by
something build in, but there are others, Query FilterBox by PSOFT as a very
important example, for which I can't find anything usefull for FM. Rewrite
it my self to FM wil be a very huge work, I think. Moving them to Unicode
was not that simple already.

Rolf
