Thread Migration Discount - New Projects - Your Evaluation
Wed, Apr 25 2007 4:41 PMPermanent Link

"Johnnie Norsworthy"
I may not be able to purchase my ElevateDB before the migration discount at
the end of the month. That's OK, I will purchase ElevateDB eventually,
primarily for .NET stuff and to support my favorite DB company.

I am just curious if anyone has a compelling reason one might use ElevateDB
at this time over v4 (which is so rock-solid) for new projects. It might get
me to find a way to make the migration discount this month.

Anyone want to give a personal evaluation of ElevateDB and why they love it?
I have not had any time to evaluate for myself during the last few months.

Deployment of new applications and database upgrades is a big concern I
have, any comments on that?

Thanks a bunch!

I don't plan on using EDB for at least 6 months from now and probably much
later.

However, I will eventually move from 4 to EDB so I'm planning on purchasing
EDB during the very generous discount plan.  I'll be going from 4 C/SwS to
EDBwS so the discount is simply too much to ignore.

Tim did mention that a flexible financing plan is available.

Of course, after I purchase EDB I'll probably start using it the very next
weekend.  Smile

David,

<< Tim did mention that a flexible financing plan is available. >>

Yes, we will offer terms to anyone, especially with the higher-priced stuff.
We have quite a few people electing to simply pay a couple of hundred bucks
for a few months.   We understand that sometimes cash flow needs to be kept
going, and it's better to spread things out over a few months.  Plus,
there's no interest. Smiley
