All my stuff has been written in D7 and DBISAM, but have a new app to develop and wanted to start with a current version of Delphi, so I've bought XE4

At the moment I've got no database to put behind it, waiting patiently for EDB, and a bit of a learning curve.

So far I like XE4.  I had already received it some time ago, though saw David I when he was in Seattle last week showing it off.

Right now, all my 3rd party components have either been updated by myself or them, except for EDB, so am with you there.  But you'll like EDB a lot.  Tim's done some great work.

It's been 24 hours since XE4 has been released... Where's the new ElevateDB builds for XE4???  I've had MY serials for 18 hours.

<grin>

I figured I would post this before anyone else.  I love to give Tim a bad time every time a new IDE is released.

Good to hear someone likes it, there's a lot of negative buzz from people who are worried about the CS licencing and whether there's any value in the upgrade from XE3 to 4.  But I've got to come from D7 so I didn't make sense not to go with the latest release.

Embarcadro have assured me there is no licencing issue using XE4 Pro to create CS products, so I'm happy.

And thanks Tim for the update.
