"Harry de Boer" | Tim,
We now own dbIsam 3 standard. -What would be the upgrade price (till april 30 and afterwards) to EDB C/S ? -As you maybe know (or can recall from previous posts) we use the standard dbIsam because we use kbmmw middleware as a kind of 'dbserver' (within it some other functionality). The next version of kbmmw (2.7) will be out in a few weeks and it will support EDB. If we continue usig this in a way we did (very powerfull: lots of connections and a good performance) do we need the C/S version of EDB at all (we do want all the extra's like SP's, Views, Triggers etc., but that is not only for C/S is it?) The upgrade to the new middleware version is also bound to a price tag, so I want to make the right choice. Your insights would be very much approved on this. << -What would be the upgrade price (till april 30 and afterwards) to EDB C/S ? >> If you contact Sam at sales@elevatesoft.com, she can give you the correct pricing. Every time I do one of these pricing quotes, I screw it up. << -As you maybe know (or can recall from previous posts) we use the standard dbIsam because we use kbmmw middleware as a kind of 'dbserver' (within it some other functionality). The standard version still has all of the triggers, views, SPs, functions, etc. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
