Hello everyone:
I installed version 2.13 b3 server EDB Unicode and ElevateDB Manager Unicode. -
When I try to open any session that I have defined, a message saying that the connection must be encrypted (Error # 1105).
When I re-install only ElevateDB Manager 2.13b2, I can enter all sessions. (With ElevateDB Server Unicode 2.13b3).
I read the notes about 2.13 b3 and did not find anything about it.
It is a version error or am I making a mistake??
Thanks

I'm doing further testing, and from DelphiXE3, with 2.13b3 ElevateDB Unicode VCL, also warns with the message Error # 1105, (the connection must be encrypted). By default, I always indicated that this encrypted connection.
I install Unicode components for Delphi XE3 2.13 b2 and works Ok.
I look forward to upgrade to a higher version.

It's a bug - there's an error in the way the encryption flag is being
handled.

I'll have a fix by the end of the week.

Hi Tim,

Does this also affect the .NET data provider?  I ran into a problem with the
2.13b3 build returning a nil pointer from a ExecuteReader call but have not
had a chance to track down the cause of the error.  After uninstalling and
Reinstalling the 2.13b2 DAC components, everything was working as expected.

Yes, it affects all products.  As for whether it will cause the effect that
you describe, I'm not sure.  I would have to see the specific example and
try it to say for sure.

This bit me too on the butt. I had a few minutes to spare this afternoon and decided to upgrade from 2.13B2 to B3. I downloaded v2.13b3 from your download page and thirty minutes after banging my head against the keyboard, I found this thread.

I will go back to 2.13B2 for the time being.

If you do find a bug in the release, why not pull it from the downloads page or put up a warning saying it has this bug?  (EDB v2.13B3 Download page is still dated Jul 22, 2013)

Because it doesn't affect everyone.
