Thread Can't cancel script when debugging in EDBMgr
Thu, Nov 28 2013 4:08 PMPermanent Link

Barry

I am running a script in EDBMgr and have several breakpoints set up. If I decide to stop debugging the script when stopped at a breakpoint, I press the "Cancel" button but nothing happens. I can still step through the script. The only way I found to cancel the execution of the script is to close the tab and get an AV.

I thought pressing the Cancel icon would stop the script from running.

This seems to be working today. When the script is at a break point, I can press Cancel then Continue and the script will stop running.

Yesterday I suspect EDBMgr got into a memory problem which prevented the script from stopping, and it tossed its AV (cookies?) when I closed the script window.

I'll re-post if the problem ever comes back, but for now I'll just chalk it up as an anomaly.

What you want is the Script/Stop option (Ctrl-F2).   That will kill the
script completely.

Are you debugging with a remote session or with a local session ?  Can you
send me the script that was AVing on close ?
