Anyone using EDB C/S on Linux? |

Barry | Does anyone have any experience of running EDB C/S v2.1x on Linux?
Some day (soon) I may be asked to export my EDB Windows DB C/S (Unicode default collation) to a Linux box and I need to know if it is feasible. The client app will still be running on Windows XP/7/8 but the DB server will be some flavor of Linux. Anything to watch out for? Problems? Differences between the Windows version? TIA Barry |

ElevateDB is only available in 32-bit binary form for Linux right now, and you can't run 32-bit binaries on 64-bit versions of Linux without installing the 32-bit libraries: http://www.maketecheasier.com/run-32-bit-apps-in-64-bit-linux/ Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
