EDBSvr install on Win 8.1 |

Jim Garrity SDS | I am attempting to install EDBSvr 2.15 B3 as a service on Win 8.1 for the first time and it is failing with an Access error.
I turned the User Account Controls off (just like Win7) and am logged on as an Admin. Anyone know of any additional issues with this in Win 8? |

Raul Team Elevate | I have not tried on win 8 but would expect this to be same as win 7.
basically make sure you install it as true admin (command prompt needs to be started with "run as administrator" to be able to install services). Just using admin account and having UAC off is not enough - you're still not true admin user. Although I have not had a problem with Win 7 even without using Run As Admin. O well.
