I've got an event logging/profiling system in the EDB Server, but haven't surfaced it yet.  Hopefully, I'll have a chance to do so soon, and it will go a long way towards helping resolve issues like this because it will tell you exactly what is happening with every single session on the EDB Server, from the server's perspective.

That would be useful  Some time ago I managed to reproduce this on my own setup but now seems I cannot replicate it.  Very mysterious
