Server connection issue |

Lee Mc Cauley | I have a couple of C/S applications and recently needed to update one of them. I discovered that I could not connect to the edbserver on my machine. I am able to connect to it with other computers.
I am running version 2.20. As a test I created a remote session in EDBManager. The EDBServer is running locally on the computer. When I attempt to connect to the session in EDBManager I get the same error that I also get in my application: ElevateDB Error #1100. A connection to the server 127.0.0.1 cannot be established. (Socket error: an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (10050), on API 'recv' I have taken EDBManager and EDBServer run them on a different computer (locally) and I am able to connect to the server. I have my firewall turned off. Does anyone have any thoughts? Remember that Thank you, Lee |

I think its a Windows error not an ElevateDB error and googling I get things like 10050 A socket operation encountered a dead network or from http://www.sockets.com/winsock.htm WSAENETDOWN ENETDOWN 10050 As in BSD. This error may be reported at any time if the Windows Sockets implementation detects an underlying failure. You've tried turning your firewall off - what about AV software? Roy Lambert |
