Just received some "seasons greetings" from EDB. I am guessing many of the Forum-users will have got it too.

... this is exciting. I have a couple of Android-based projects which could use this.

My primary need is for a "phone-side" data component, I would probably not put a full EDB database on the device, rather I would connect to a cloud-based server via IP.

I could actually work perfectly well with a Connection component, and a Query component & not much else, assuming that the Query included all the normal EDB properties.

I too look forward to this new functionality. Anything for Android would suit my current development.

If it will work with FreePascal then that would be fabulous.

Yes, it will be all-around ports for both Delphi and FreePascal, although FP/Lazarus support for mobile targets might trail a little further behind.
