Hi Team,
A small issue. Wink
Working in EDB Mgr.
Given I have the following tables - LineItems, ALineItems & _ALineitems, all exactly the same structure and with data in them,
I am testing using "VERIFY TABLE xxxxxxxxx".
Works for for LineItems & _ALineItems however it falls over with ALineItems with the following error..
"ElevateDB Error #401 The table alineitems does not exist in the schema Default"
Ummm.  Not sure what's missing.  I can see, open & edit it in its DB in EDB Mgr.
It opens and appears in my App.
Yet I get the error message.
Is ALineItems reserved somewhere?

Thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
Regards & TIA,
Ian

When something like that has happened to me its usually because I'm running the SQL fom the wrong context.

In EDBManager look at the bottom right hand side. There are four items:

Session name
Database
Mode (insert/overwrite)
Position (eg 1:1)

Make sure the session name and database are right. I often find that I'm in the configuration database Frown

Hi Roy,
IN EDBMgr, all tables are created at the same time with the same parameters..
Session - Default
Database - DBiWorkflow
Insert.
1:1

Haven't created any other sessions than the Default.

Attached is a screenshot.

Interestingly, if I use the 'EDBMgr 'Verify Table' Task for table it doesn't give any error.  If I try to do it in SQL.  NG.  Frown

I have no doubt it is something simple but what?

Regards,
Ian

Is it my eyesight or is the actual name of the table:  "ALineiItems"?
Note the lowercase i before the Uppercase I
But it could be my eyes.

Hi Malcolm,
Yes, the name is ALineItems.  Capital A, L & I.

It is the Archive equivalent of LineItems.  Hence the 'A'.
_ALineItems is the long term archive of ALineItems.

Rough usage is..
Line Items - Current data.
ALineitems - Completed LineItems more than 6 months old.
_ALineItems - ALineItems more than 12 months old.

All have the same table structure.

Ian

Correction, in the image it is in fact a lower case i between e & t.  Shouldn't make any difference though.

AH HA!

Hi Malcolm,
Didn't see what you saw - ALineiItems.
'iI' in there.
Deleted the 'i' in the table name.
All good now.
Great spotting.

Ian

I have learned that Tim is not inclined to tell porkies.
If he says the table or whatever is not in the schema .. we should
believe him and start looking for typos, the wrong context, etc.  Smile

Well done - I think I need a bigger font even though I've just got new specs!

You didn't have the benefit of the screenshot so covered the usual
context issue.
Given the screenshot and with context eliminated, it had to be the
classic 'Fools Gold' scenario .. it looks like 'ALineItems' so it must
be 'ALineItems'. <bg>

Now, how many times have I fallen into that one?
