Hi Guys,
Some of you will be aware I am converting an Advantage Database Server application suite, 12 programs, 78 tables, to
ElevateDB.  The ADS apps have been in service for nearly 2 years.

There have been no major code changes except where necessary to accomodate EDB.

Local mode, Apps & DB on a Win 2008 Server, calling/running from a Win 7 workstation.

We started Beta testing this morning.

The first comment I received was "Wow!".  Seems the load times to the log in screen has reduced from averages of
45Secs to 2secs.

Chalk one up for EDM Smile

Regards,
Ian

That's impressive. I wonder what ADS were doing to slow it down that much.

You might be interested in my TnlhAutoTable as well (its somewhere in the extensions). It means that you don't have to bother opening it - it does it itself when you try and use it.

Hi Roy,
Having a look.  Wouldn't mind melding all your added functionality to Rolf's, or Vis-Versa. Make for a real nice set
of enhanced components.  Wink

Wow, that's pretty impressive.   Thanks for the feedback - my upcoming weekend is off to a good start. Smile

Electronic dance music had nothing to do with this, I swear. Wink
