Hi Team,
   Tried to run EDBMgr on the Customer's server while he was in one of the Apps.  Win Server 2008 R2.

   Got the following error message..

      "ElevateDB Error #300  Cannot lock the databse DBiWorkflow for shared access"

   Umm, why would it need to lock it for shared access?

   I don't see this on my Dev PC.

   A network sharing issue?  If so what needs to be adjusted?  I never saw this type of issue with ADS.

My guess is that the two are pointing at different .cfg files. The two may be an exact match but it needs to be the same file.

If any part of your app ALTERs the DB, I know this locks out other connections, so that might be it.

It is fine to CREATE temporary tables, views etc., as far as I know, but I am not sure of the exact details of what you can call in terms of ALTER statements before the DB puts in a full lock.

Roy is probably right. Check all the config paths, and search for .cfg files.
