Hi Guys,
   So here's a question, I think the answer's yes but who knows.
   Can I have the Server running but all the Apps only in Local mode, and use the Server Jobs ability to do things?  e.g.
do a backup at 5pm every week day and at 1200 on Saturday.

Ian,

Yes, you can - the server is just another application accessing the database.
However you can't take advantage of the new "Global File I/O Buffering" feature.
