Steve Gill | Is it possible for 32 bit clients to connect to a 64 bit server?
I would have thought it would be ok but I get a stack of errors when the clients tries to connect. It works fine if the client connects to the 32 bit version of the same server. = Steve |

I do it all the time, ie 32 bit tablet computers running a Delphi EXE with EDB, connect over a LAN to a 64bit instance of EDBSRVR. No known issues for me. Perhaps you mean something else? |

Steve Gill | Sorry guys, false alarm.
I went back and ran the 32 bit version in the IDE and it suddenly got the same stream signature errors. Not sure why as this code has worked fine for at least a year in 32 bit form. Anyway I ended up rewriting the code and now no more errors. = Steve |
