No - i'm using delphi as i don't have lazarus/fpc setup nor do i have
access to lcl edition of EDB.

Just wanted to make sure it works here - i assume EDB source code should
be (mostly!?) same.

If exact same thing does not work for Teco then maybe support ticket is
in order with elevate as it becomes platform specific

I have open an incident Report and mentioned this Topic.

Better as an support ticked as it could affect also other Lazarus/Free Pascal users.

In the meantime I will use an old wrapper I have created in the past to work with non unicode capable databases.

Thank you to all for your help and tests to find out that only Lazarus is affected.

ElevateDB is completely Unicode-enabled.  The issue here is something that isn't obvious, but it has to do with how Lazarus/FreePascal is handling strings vs. Delphi.

Please see my reply via email about sending me a sample project that reproduces what you're seeing.
