Hi Rita,

Assuming that EDB provides full ADO.NET support (which I am pretty sure is
the case), the answer is yes. Are you entering the evil world of .NET? Wink

I have been working on a C# ASP.NET project for the last 3 months, and am
very impressed with the language, and the IDE, .. I found it very easy to
get up and running with!

Best regards

Hi Steve I'am not entering the evil world of NET as yet, but
I was just keeping my eye on it and Chrome gets better rhetoric
than BDS plus its cheap as chips.
I want from Devco a Win64 vcl with the same IDE as D1-D7
plus a single language version of Kylix 64 (pascal) and when
NET falls flat on its face I will be in front.

Hm? But you do have ADO.Net provider, so really why not?

In any case, Rita, you are welcome to use our ADO.Net Provider
for DBISAM (www.contextsoft.com) to work on Chrome today.

Michael

Yesiree, it works fine for me: (DBISAM 4 + DBISAM .NET provider + Chrome)

bright sunshine.

See this thread:

IOW, the ADO.NET data provider will not be available with the initial
release of EDB.  There will be a gap between the releases.

Hmmm. I don't know how difficult that would be. I'd have to put all those
files on my database server and convert them to DBISAM.

I'll see if it would be too difficult and get back with you. It would be
nice to have an example to promote DBISAM/Chrome more.
