Hey Tim,

I just receive the announcement on EDB 2.35, now with Linux support!!

Thank you, and the timing couldn't be better for me.

Keep up the good work!

I received notification by email on 10 July 2021 of "New Version 2.35 of ElevateDB Now Availalbe".

This email mentioned "Incident Reports". There was no mention of any new features.

I only found out about the new features a few hours ago, by chance.

How did you get notified of the new features? Do I have to subscribe to another email channel?

AFAIK that is the only email to indicate new release is available.

You have to go and check release notes on website (under downloads) for
additional details

Thank you for the useful link.

I have been checking the website Begin End for some kind of notice, but did not see any.

I check most days the forum for Free Pascal.  In particular   Announcements >> Third Party.  Did not see any notice.

I have just rechecked the email. There does not seem to be a link to any new features.

It is very odd that a vendor would not publicise new features.

I think something is going on with blog post notifications.

I just noticed Tim did actually do a blog post about this covering the
highlights :

https://www.elevatesoft.com/blog?action=view&id=elevatedb_235_with_linux_and_macos_support_released

Blog posts should result in email as well - as long as one has enabled
notifications on those.

Peter,

<< I received notification by email on 10 July 2021 of "New Version 2.35 of ElevateDB Now Availalbe". >>

The release notifications are generic in order to keep the size down.  The release notes and most current blog post on the website will have the most details about breaking changes and new features.  You can find the release notes on the download page, for example, here for the EDB VCL Trial download:

https://www.elevatesoft.com/download?action=info&category=edb&type=edbvcltrial&majorversion=2&version=2.35

(under the list of downloads)

And the blog posts can always be found here:

https://www.elevatesoft.com/blog

Here's the 2.35 link:
